How does the AI meal scanner work? +

The AI scanner uses Google Gemini 2.0 to analyze your meal photos. Simply:

  1. Open the app and click "Scan a meal"
  2. Take a photo of your plate
  3. AI automatically detects foods and estimates portions
  4. Nutritional values are calculated in 5 seconds
  5. You can adjust quantities if needed

Note: Estimates may vary by ±20%. For more precision, you can manually edit portions.

Does the app work without internet connection? +

Yes! Ryse has a complete offline mode:

  • Workouts: All your strength training exercises are available offline
  • GPS Cardio: GPS tracking works without internet
  • Nutrition: You can add foods from your history
  • Auto sync: As soon as you regain connection, everything syncs automatically

Offline limitation: AI scanner and searching for new foods require internet connection.

How do I install the iOS widget? +

Installing the smart widget on iOS:

  1. Long-press your home screen until icons jiggle
  2. Tap the "+" button in the top left
  3. Search for "Ryse" in the widget list
  4. Choose size (Small for Lock Screen, Medium for Home Screen)
  5. Tap "Add Widget"
  6. Position it where you want

Tip: The widget automatically detects the meal based on time (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Is the nutritional data reliable? +

Our data comes from several sources:

  • Gemini AI Scanner: Accuracy of ±20% (excellent for most cases)
  • OpenFoodFacts: Community database of 700,000+ products (verified but may contain errors)
  • Internal database: 50,000+ verified foods in FR/EN

Recommendations:

  • Always verify portions estimated by AI
  • For scanned products, compare with nutrition label
  • You can manually edit all values
  • Consult a professional for specific medical needs
How do I set my calorie goals? +

Configuring your goals:

  1. Go to "Settings" → "Profile"
  2. Enter your age, gender, weight, height
  3. Choose your goal:
    • Weight loss: Calorie deficit of 300-500 kcal/day
    • Muscle gain: Surplus of 200-400 kcal/day
    • Maintenance: Balance calories consumed = burned
  4. Set your physical activity level
  5. The app automatically calculates your calorie needs and macros

Note: Optional premium features may be added in the future (personalized AI coaching, advanced training plans), but current features will always remain free.

How do I delete my account and data? +

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to delete your data at any time:

  1. Open the Ryse app
  2. Go to "Settings" → "Account"
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap "Delete my account"
  5. Confirm deletion

Consequences:

  • All your data will be deleted within 30 days
  • This action is IRREVERSIBLE
  • You will lose your progress history

Alternative: Contact us at support@coach-ryze.com for manual deletion.

Is the app available on Android? +

Not yet, but it's coming!

Currently, Ryse is only available on iOS (iPhone & iPad). The Android version is under development and will be launched soon.

How do I change the app language (FR/EN)? +

Ryse is natively bilingual French/English:

  1. Open "Settings"
  2. Section "Langue / Language"
  3. Choose "Français" or "English"
  4. The app restarts automatically

What changes:

  • Complete interface translated
  • Adapted food database
  • Exercises with localized instructions
I found a bug, how do I report it? +
