Delete your account
Your account is yours, and you can erase it without asking anyone. This page says how to do it in a minute from the app, how to do it if you no longer have the app, and exactly what goes.
From the app
This is the shortest way, and the deletion is immediate.
- Open Ryze and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom, to Delete account.
- Tick both boxes, type DELETE, then confirm.
The account and the data go the moment you confirm. There is no bin and no cooling-off period: nothing can be restored afterwards, by you or by us.
If you no longer have the app
Write to privacy@coach-ryze.com from the account's email address, with “Account deletion” as the subject. That is all it takes: no form, no paperwork.
If you write from another address, we will ask you to prove the account is yours. Without that check, anyone could have anyone else's account erased.
Deletion is done within 30 days at the latest, and you get a confirmation. In practice it is a matter of hours or days.
What is erased
- The account: email address, password, and the link to Apple or Google if you signed in through them.
- The profile: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal.
- Nutrition: meals, foods, recipes, custom foods, water.
- Training: workouts, exercises, sets, loads, cardio and GPS routes.
- Progress: weight history, measurements, streaks, achievements.
- The rest: goals, reminders, settings, conversations with the coach.
It all goes at once: the database is built so that deleting the account takes everything attached to it, with no table left behind in a corner.
What remains, and for how long
- Backups: purged within 30 days. A backup taken the day before your request still exists for a few days, until it rotates out.
- Technical logs: 90 days at most, and anonymised. They carry neither your name, nor your address, nor your meals.
- Proof of purchase: it belongs to the App Store or Google Play, not to us. Accounting law requires it to be kept for several years, and we have no hand in it.
The subscription is cancelled separately
- iPhone: Settings, your name at the top, Subscriptions, Ryze, Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Ryze, Cancel.
Access stays open until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the account triggers no refund; a refund is requested from the store.
